•{blue.rain}•

This was the first science experiment I have done with my Little, and she LOVED it. I filled a tall container with water, and then squirted a layer of shaving cream on top. (The thinner the layer, the faster and easier this will be.) Then I put a few drops of blue food coloring on top. You have to be a little patient, but the rain drops will start to fall. So fun!

•{roller.rainbow}•

For this activity I used a roller from our collection of Playdoh toys and a stick from our Cake Pop sticks. I dropped the paint on the paper in rainbow order, and then we stuck the stick inside the roller as a way to keep it under control (and not get our hands all messy!) [side note: I taped our paper to the table when rolling the paint to keep it from moving across the table with us.]

•{knuckle.carrots}•

Since we are focusing on Spring this week, I decided to throw in a few carrots for that special Bunny friend coming this weekend. I painted my Little's knuckles and pressed them onto the paper. I used a green marker for the leaves to finish them off.

•{letter.hunt}•

My Little loves "hunting." So these activities are her favorite. And who doesn't love stickers? This week's letter is "S" so I had her place a sticker on all the "S's" she could find.

•{counting.raindrops}•

This was a fun counting activity. We talked about rain and how it is important for plants and flowers to grow in the spring. Some clouds have lots of rain, and others only a few sprinkles. I cut out clouds from white construction paper and wrote numbers on them. I then used a hole-punch to punch out enough dots for each cloud. I had my Little choose which cloud she wanted to do, and then she would count out the correct number of raindrops and glued them on. Of course she chose to do them in order of 1-9.

•{thumbprint.birdies}•

These little guys were SO cute, I could not pass them up! We dont have any stamp pads, so we just used washable markers and colored my Little's thumb and then pressed it onto the paper. Afterward I did the detailing with a finepoint pen.

•{handprint.friends}•

Some handprint friends we made for Spring!

•{signs.of.spring}•

My Little enjoyed this activity more than I thought she would. We went out on a nature walk and I told her to look around and find signs of Spring. We returned home with a collection of  "new leaves," flowers, and seeds. I let my Little place them between two pieces of contact paper to display what she found. She is very proud of it!

•{dot.rainbow}•

This activity probably stressed me out more than it should have, but my Little had fun, so that is all that matters! I am too much of a perfectionist!

This activity is pretty self-explanatory. It was a simple activity for color identification and review too! I had my Little dip her finger in the color of paint and follow the arch pattern of the plate, switching colors as we progressed.

•{name.tulips}•

We have been working on our name a lot lately, and this was another fun activity to practice with! I simply traced and cut out tulips with a cookie cutter, and then wrote a letter on each flower. I then had my Little put them in order of her name and glue them on.
